A very merry Christmas to all....

  • Dec. 25th, 2009 at 12:23 AM
I am all ready to snuggle into bed; the niblet is sleeping, the presents are wrapped, the cookies are out for Santa (he's pretty much decided that Santa is really Moms and Dads, but why take chances?) and it's time to sleep. I always love the quiet of Christmas eve after the bustle of the last few days before the holiday.

This year, while slow to start, the holiday bustle was much as it always is - a few last minute gifts, catching just the right strain of music to put a big, silly, holiday smile on my face, cocoa and cookies with the niblet, and lots of wrapping and sneaking of gifts from under the bed to the livingroom. Niblet and I even had a chance to whip out a batch of cookies, just in time for Santa! And so, to bed, with happy, warm and loving wishes to all. May your holiday be as bright as the sun sparkling on icicles, as peaceful as falling snow, and as warm as cocoa by the fire. Goodnight, and Merry Christmas dreams.

Free download of funky, funny, fun old Christmas songs.

From the site:

"Andy Cirzan is the show's official Kris Kringle, bringing in the coolest and weirdest holiday music on the block. By day Andy runs Jam Productions in Chicago. But by night he scours high and low to add to his collection of holiday obscura. Andy has been treating his friends to a holiday music compilation of these rare finds for over 20 years. And, for half of those, he has also shared them with Sound Opinions. Now we can make Andy’s highly sought after compilation available for free to all our listeners."

Re-Read... Harry Potter Series.

  • Dec. 24th, 2009 at 4:34 PM
I am planning on reading the Harry Potter series one chapter at a time. I love this series and it's very close to my heart.

My thought and re-discoveries of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone: Chapter 1 - The Boy Who Lived:

This chapter mostly revolve around the Dursley's life before Harry. Oh, how you don't like them by the descriptions. I got me a little emotional since this is the chapter that started it all.

I got a little teary eye when I read Dumbledore stating that James and Lily where in fact death. (Poor Harry)

Something I caught: They mention SIRIUS BLACK in the first chapter. I love that. I wonder what theories did people have back then about his character. That would have been really interesting to read.

What got me most was the last part of this chapter. About Harry not knowing anything and all the stuff that he will have to endure with the Dursley's. "To Harry Potter - the boy who lived!"

Well this is chapter One.... Will write chapter two when I have read it... Will try to do one a day or maybe two.

Jumping in between courses to wish you all a Merry Christmas. I know most of you don't celebrate until tomorrow but since we do it Christmas Eve you get your greetings now. *g*

Salmon mousse has been eaten with the usual orgasmic sounds. Hubby is putting the finishing touch on the reindeer in the kitchen. Kids are going crazy waiting for dinner to be over so they can start open presents. Life is good.

*hugs you all*
